Many of you have visited my house in Mountain View. It's a lovely house, only 8 years old, very comfortable, very well built and well finished (lots of high-end touches like a Viking range, granite countertops, ceiling fans, crown moldings, huge back deck for entertaining, etc.), close to downtown, convenient to transit (highways 101, 85, and 280; Central Expressway; CalTrain; Light Rail), beautiful landscaping, geek features (Cat5 cabling, DirecTV dish, ham radio antenna), etc.
Well, as of today, it's for sale... Full details are on the web at www.1250westdana.com. My realtors will be hosting open houses both days this weekend, if you want to drop by and take a look.
If you know anybody who might be interested in buying a really nice 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house in downtown Mountain View, please pass this along to them. The real estate market in Silicon Valley is still pretty hot, and houses like this have generally been selling within a week or two, so don't delay; it probably won't be available for long.
I've been living in San Francisco for the past year or so, and renting out the house in Mountain View. As many of you know, I met somebody pretty special last fall (Janet; see my posts about our Australian holiday here and here), and we're going to be buying a home together in the East Bay this summer. So, as fond as I am of my house in Mountain View, it's time for me to let it go...
