Normally I pass on these, but this one amuses me...

Name a CD you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:

That I'm willing to admit to? When I've got [info]xthread's collection to compete with? Hmm... I'm tempted to say Pac-Man Fever by Buckner & Garcia, but I suspect that fails the second test... I'm probably safe with Almost Alone by Chet Atkins (what can I say, I'm a sucker for a smooth guitar player).

Name a book you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:

The Human Factor in Aircraft Accidents by David Beaty (though I might lose to [info]sfo2lhr on this one)

Hmm, I don't own that many DVDs... The Complex Rock Tour Live by Blue Man Group

If you like good acoustic guitar, I recommend Don Ross, and especially is album "Huron Street." "Passion Session" is also quite good.

I don't have Almost Alone, but I like Chet Atkins and used to have Neck and Neck (Atkins and Mark Knopfler). I think my ex got it in the divorce.

Yes, I have that one; it's delightful. I just figured it was less uncommon than the one I named... ;-) Besides that and a couple of Chet Atkins solo albums, I also have duo albums that he did with Les Paul, Jerry Reed, and Tommy Emmanuel. Chet Atkins was truly an outstanding talent, and by all reports a wonderful person too; I was saddened by his passing a few years ago.
